Alexander V. Chernyshov

Basic concepts of sound film music are discussed on the examples of works of Russian (Soviet and post-Soviet) and foreign scholars: Polish, German, French, English, and American. Analyzed the music theory, starting from the works by Sergey Eisenstein and Hanns Eisler to modern researchers such as George Burt and Michel Chion. Author of the article demarcated "functional theories of filmmusic" and "theories of sound layers".
